vienna2.jpg

Nothing is more romantic than sharing your dreams over a cup of coffee on Valentine’s morning. Show your love with this simple coffee delight made in the Vienna tradition:

Ingredients (for two perfect cups):

  • The Bean Coffee Company Vienna Roast Coffee
  • 1tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 2oz semisweet chocolate, chopped.
  • ½ Cup whipping cream
  • Whipped Cream

Preparation:

  •  Using filtered water for the best taste, brew (or French press) The Bean Coffee Company Vienna Roast Coffee.
  • In a saucepan, bring cream to simmer then reduce heat to low and add semisweet chocolate. Reserve 1 small chop of chocolate for topping. Stir until melted.
  • In your favorite mug, pour chocolate cream then top with brewed The Bean Coffee Company Vienna Roast Coffee. Stir gently to mix.
  • Top with whipped cream. Using a microplane, shave the remaining chocolate over top and sprinkle ground cinnamon.

Options:

  • As an option, consider using super fine ground coffee in place of cinnamon.
  • Add your favorite liquor (we recommend Bailey’s Irish Cream or Amaretto) to make this morning bliss an evening kiss!

Interesting Coffee Facts

The Arabian monopoly on coffee was broken by a Muslim pilgrim from India named Baba Budan. Sometime around the year 1650, the legend has it that Baba smuggled seven coffee seeds strapped to his body out of Mecca. These special coffee seeds were thenplanted near the city of Chickmaglur in southern India... these Arabian coffee trees are parents of most coffee trees in the world today. This region of India today still produces quality coffee beans from the original ancient Arabian coffee seeds.
